Thank you for becoming a helper/volunteer with Firtree Farm Riding Centre.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear .

All helpers/volunteers must wear a safety hat that conforms with the current standards of PAS 015 and BS Kitemark. You are welcome to borrow one of our hats if you do not have one.

Helpers/Volunteers are requested not to bring dogs to the Centre.

Helpers/Volunteers must not feed the Horse & Ponies, dogs or cat that live at the Centre.

Helpers/Volunteers must advise us as to when they arrive and leave the centre.

'Helpers' Code of Conduct'

I understand that helping/volunteering at a riding school has inherent risk and that all horses may react unpredictably on occasions. I understand that instructions are given for my safety and agree to follow instructions given to me by staff and instructors of the riding school. I understand that wearing an appropriate riding hat may reduce the severity of an injury should an accident happen and agree that I will always wear a riding hat whilst helping/volunteering at the riding school. I understand that the riding school will make decisions based on information I give them. I agree to always be honest and volunteer information about my abilities and experience and any previous accidents or medical condition(s) which may affect my ability to help/volunteer. I understand that the safety of clients, staff, helpers/volunteers, and horses are of paramount importance and I will not, knowingly, put any in danger at anytime I understand that the riding school may refuse my request to attend the centre for safety or operational reasons. I understand that I will never mistreat any of the animals at Firtree Farm Riding School and understand that there is a zero tolerance for any behaviour of this kind. I agree to be helpful, courteous, and pleasant at all times and I will never use bad language or behaviour inappropriately. I agree never to feed any of the animals at Firtree Farm Riding School.
